Welcome to Adventures In Parenting

where we talk about raising good kids.

In a culture of self-indulgence, greed, promiscuity, apathy, lack of moral character, we want to raise the bar of expectations for our children. With God's help, we want to raise our children with compassion, integrity, and character.

Make your own

Wherever there is food, good feelings go along with it.

Mealtimes are usually the best time for families to spend quality time.

To make the most of the time, instead of just eating together, you can also prepare the meal together. Don’t worry, no cooking skills are required for this activity I am suggesting.

The task today on Day 10 of our 30 Days to Better Parenting Challenge, is to make pizza together.

Buy some refrigerator pizza dough, a jar of pizza sauce, and all your favorite toppings. In addition to the usual toppings of cheeses, pepperoni, etc., add a few surprises – potato chips, tuna, and other random foods. Lay everything out on the table, and have everyone gather around to make their own mini pizzas.

It’s great fun to see what concoction everyone comes up with. Let your creative juices flow. My kids come up with shapes that look nothing like pizza!

Be sure to take some pictures of the finished products. Now dig in and eat your lovely creations!
