Welcome to Adventures In Parenting

where we talk about raising good kids.

In a culture of self-indulgence, greed, promiscuity, apathy, lack of moral character, we want to raise the bar of expectations for our children. With God's help, we want to raise our children with compassion, integrity, and character.

Have a picnic

September 25th, 2007 / 2 Comments

One of the most important aspects of parenting is creating an environment in the home where your family would want to come home to. We want to have a positive atmosphere of safety, love, and joy. Having fun together at home is a good way to build a happy home.

Today on Day 25 of our 30 Days to Better Parenting Challenge, we are going to have a picnic!

Spread a picnic blanket on the floor of your living room. If the weather is nice, you can have a picnic in the backyard or the balcony. Use disposable ware just like you would at a picnic. Fix a picnic dinner featuring finger foods such as chicken drumsticks, corn on a cob, and dinner rolls. Buy a special beverage such as sparkling cider. What a nice change of pace to enjoy a picnic without ants!

Eating together is a big part of every family. Creating a special mealtime will bring lasting memories.
