Welcome to Adventures In Parenting

where we talk about raising good kids.

In a culture of self-indulgence, greed, promiscuity, apathy, lack of moral character, we want to raise the bar of expectations for our children. With God's help, we want to raise our children with compassion, integrity, and character.

Insight into the teenage mind, Part 2

March 18th, 2008 / No Comments

In this podcast, we are continuing our interview with Vanessa with Q and A.

When I was in college, a favorite topic with my brother was about dating. I would get his guy point of view and he would get my girl point of view. He would ask me something like, “Would a girl be impressed or scared off if I brought her flowers on the first date?”

It’s hard for us to understand the other side unless we have someone on that side explain things to us.

Now as a mom with an 20, 18 and 12 year old, I am glad to have Vanessa Van Petten available to give us some insight into how teenagers think.

Parents in our audience has submitted questions about specific situations, and Vanessa has some great insight into how to handle them effectively with our teens.
