Welcome to Adventures In Parenting

where we talk about raising good kids.

In a culture of self-indulgence, greed, promiscuity, apathy, lack of moral character, we want to raise the bar of expectations for our children. With God's help, we want to raise our children with compassion, integrity, and character.

February 9th, 2009 / No Comments

3. Make breakfast for dinner once in a while just to change things up.

4. It’s ok if your children’s sock do not match.

5. Don’t ever feel ashamed of your child. Accept him as not perfect, just as we are not perfect parents.

6. Don’t resent your children’s friends hanging out at your house and eating your food. It means you’re cool.

7. There are worst things in life than a tattoo.

8. You can not spoil an infant. Hold him often and kiss his chubby cheeks.

9. Playing in the mud won’t kill your kids.

10. Having dirty socks all over their room won’t kill your kids either.

17. A prayer and a song is a nice way to be put to bed.

18. Remember you were a teenager once.

19. Remember you didn’t appreciate all that your parents did for you either.

20. You can demand obedience, but you can’t demand love and respect.

21. Asking your children for forgiveness is not a sign of weakness nor lost of authority.

22. Cookies and milk solves many problems.

23. Going to the park with the children is better than going to the mall with the children.

24. Don’t let a day go by without giving your child a compliment.

25. Children are fragile, please handle with care.
